Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: July 20th, 2026

What this policy covers

This policy covers subscription fees for Rapture Music distribution plans (Rapture Artist and Rapture Label), billed annually in South African Rand through our payment partner, Paystack. Royalty payments we make to artists are separate from subscription billing and are not affected by anything in this policy.

Billing

Plans are billed once per year in advance. Your renewal date is always visible in your account under Settings → Subscription, and we email you a receipt for every successful payment. Your card details are held securely by Paystack. Rapture never sees or stores them.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time in Settings → Subscription. Cancelling stops all future billing immediately, and you keep full access until the end of the year you have already paid for. New release submissions pause after that date. Your account and catalogue data are not deleted, and releases already delivered to stores remain subject to your distribution agreement.

Refunds

If you change your mind within 7 days of your first payment, or of a renewal payment, contact us and we will refund that payment in full, provided you have not submitted a release for delivery to stores in that period. This reflects your cooling-off right under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

Outside the 7-day window we do not offer pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a subscription year. We do, however, review every request individually, and we will always refund where the law requires it or where we have clearly not delivered the service you paid for.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds go back to the card you paid with, processed through Paystack. They typically arrive within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. Refunds are always made in the currency you were billed in (ZAR).

If something is wrong

Please talk to us first. Raise a ticket from the Support section of your dashboard or email support@rapturemusic.co, and our team will resolve billing issues directly. Contacting us first is almost always faster than a card dispute, and it protects your account from the holds that banks place while a dispute is open.
